Huh?

Moving right along, it looks like we're in for another edition of Whiskey's Blogger Challenge <queue echo>.  This week is about advice on blogging....  Ok, first off I'm not much of a blogger.  Surprised huh?  I'm so eloquent and deep I know.  But alas, blogging is one of those things I've traditionally stayed away from.  Facebook, twitter, myspace, etc are also on that list.  So what to say about it...

I actually started this thing as a quick link to the Virtual Noob Guide (which I've been slacking on btw).  But like many others...I have opinions.  Shocker, huh?  So mixed in a little of those as well.  One of these days I'll probably add some tutorials or tips..maybe.  There's a lot of those already and not sure I can add anything better to the mix.  But I digress, I'm supposed to give advice on bloggin?  That's just crazy talk.  Not sure what advice I can offer up for new bloggers but here goes.

I guess everyone has something they want to say, but might not feel comfortable saying it in a forum, or its just too much information for light conversation (at least that's my reasons).  Let's face it, your friends don't want to listen to you ramble about copyright violations, platform policies, or prim torturing.  Likewise there's some forum posts that are so incredibly long they may as well be a blog.  Then there's bickering back and forth, etc, etc.  There's a lot of really great ideas buried in forums everywhere simply because searching for that one paragraph of wisdom in 28 pages of name calling and lolcats is impossible.  Sorry, that's just my little pet peeve.  So anyway find something you want to talk about.  Talk.  Keeping it bottled up isn't healthy and may lead to indigestion. 

Maybe someone will read it.  Maybe they won't.  Don't let it bother you, think of it more like a public journal with optional commentary.  I really enjoy reading everyone's blogs about Inworldz, Second Life, and beyond.  Even if I don't always comment, I feel like I know a lot of you without ever having met inworld. 

Oh, most important thing.  Post pics!  You have to...no really.  Most of us are wired on caffeine, have a dozen windows open at once, talking in skype/gtalk/twitter/etc and in and out afk.  Our attention spans may not be quite up to snuff.  Like a good beer commercial, we need visuals.  Here's my very first photo Inworldz, a few months after my rezday.  I don't take many pictures unless I'm linking it to something else, so forgive me.
